The charity provides practical advice and support to those who have experienced abuse and trauma within faith through a support line, website and online resources. The charity also equips faith organisations and secular organisations to provide this support.

Charitable objects
1. TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED ABUSE AND TRAUMA, INCLUDING SPIRITUAL ABUSE, WITHIN A RELIGIOUS CONTEXT, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND PRACTICAL ADVICE. 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE SUBJECT OF ABUSE, TRAUMA AND SPIRITUAL ABUSE WITHIN RELIGIOUS CONTEXTS, AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THAT SUBJECT AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THESE OBJECTS ‘SPIRITUAL ABUSE’ IS A FORM OF EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE CHARACTERISED BY A SYSTEMATIC PATTERN OF COERCIVE AND CONTROLLING BEHAVIOUR IN A RELIGIOUS CONTEXT.
