Amoke SCD Ltd will assist in the treatment and care of persons suffering from SCD by the provision of facilities for pain and crisis management and by providing equipment, facilities & services.

Charitable objects
4 THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (‘OBJECTS’) ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND TO PRESERVE THE HEALTH OF PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THE DEBILITATING EFFECTS OF SICKLE CELL DISEASE (SCD) BY:- -ASSISTING IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM PHYSICAL ILLNESS AND COMPLICATIONS ARISING FROM SCD OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF THIS AILMENT BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR TREATMENT AND LEARNING; -PROMOTING AND PROTECTING THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF SUFFERERS OF SCD THROUGH THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL FACILITIES, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, EDUCATION, AND PRACTICAL DEVELOPMENTS; -ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO SCD; -AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS FOR EDUCATION TO FURTHER THE PURPOSE; -TO SUPPORT RESEARCH INTO THE TREATMENT OF SCD. [NOTHING IN THE ARTICLES SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.].
