TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ARTISTIC TASTE AND KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS, BOTH DIRECTLY AND THROUGH LOCAL SOCIETIES, AMONG THE INHABITANTS OF THE DISTRICT OF STAFFORD.
