Charitable objects
FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE INHABITANTS OF TYNE AND WEAR AND NORTHUMBERLAND AND THEIR SURROUNDING AREAS, THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: 3.1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN SPORT AND HEALTHY RECREATION TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEM TO DEVELOP THEIR FULL CAPACITIES. 3.2 TO PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THE PLAYING OF SPORT, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES (IN PARTICULAR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE) OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR HEALTH, WELLBEING AND CONDITIONS OF LIFE; 3.3 THE PROMOTION OF SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED BY THE TRUSTEES AS BEING IN FULFILMENT OF THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS.
