Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Showmen's mental health awareness charity works within the showmen community to break the stigma surrounding mental health. The charity works in three areas, crisis management, education and awareness. The main objective of the charity is to help prevent the suffering of all Showmen within the fairground industry.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ('THE OBJECTS') ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 3.1. TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PERSONS OF ALL AGES IN THE FAIRGROUND COMMUNITY (?SHOWMEN?) EXPERIENCING MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS, IN PARTICULAR BY ENABLING AND EMPOWERING SHOWMEN TO LIVE WITH, MANAGE AND RECOVER FROM THEIR CONDITION; 3.2. TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF GOOD MENTAL HEALTH, IN PARTICULAR BY: 3.2.1. INCREASING UNDERSTANDING OF MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS WITHIN THE FAIRGROUND COMMUNITY; 3.2.2. WORKING TO RAISE AWARENESS AND TO CHALLENGE STIGMA AND DISCRIMINATION REGARDING MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS WITHIN THE FAIRGROUND COMMUNITY; AND 3.2.3. PROMOTING PUBLIC EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS OF ALL KINDS, THEIR PREVENTION, CAUSES, TREATMENT AND CARE.
