Activities - how the charity spends its money
The museum will be a community hub / exhibition space for celebrating our history, traditions and heritage. Our activities include open days, family heritage days, school workshops, guided walks, research groups and oral history projects. Our ethos is inclusive. We aim to provide life-long learning opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds and foster a sense of belonging and well-being.

TO ESTABLISH AND RUN AN INDEPENDENT TOWN MUSEUM IN KNARESBOROUGH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO ADVANCE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF THE RICH HISTORY OF KNARESBOROUGH AND ITS SURROUNDING AREA BY COLLECTING, CONSERVING, DISPLAYING AND INTERPRETING A RANGE OF HISTORICAL MATERIAL WHICH SHOWCASES THE SOCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND GEOLOGY, AND PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS.
