Charitable objects

(1) TO RELIEVE THE INHABITANTS OF BIRMINGHAM AND SURROUNDING AREAS (HEREINAFTER REFERRED AS `THE AREA OF BENEFIT`) WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED OR HARDSHIP ( PARTICULARLY THOSE THEM BELONGING TO ASIAN AND OTHER MINORITY RACIAL GROUPS) BY THE PROVISION FOR SUCH PERSONS OF A) AN ADVICE AND INFORMATION CENTRE DEALING WITH THE QUESTIONS OF HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, WELFARE RIGHTS, IMMIGRATION, NATIONALITY AND SIMILAR PROBLEMS; B) FACILITIES FOR THEIR EDUCATION AND CULTURAL TRAINING; C) FACILITIES TO PROMOTE THEIR HEALTH ( INCLUDING PROVISION OF TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS AT HOSPITALS, CLINICS AND SURGERIES); (2) TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THE RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH INHABITANTS WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; AND (3) TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS GENERALLY AND PARTICULARLY BETWEEN THOSE WHO ARE OF ASIAN ORIGIN AND ALL OTHER INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
