The primary objective of the Ifield Barn Theatre Society is to promote and foster the appreciation of drama and the arts among residents within and around the North Sussex area by presenting or facilitating public dramatic performances, amateur and professional, and providing suitable permanent premises for staging such events. To work in partnership with the local community for mutual benefit.

Charitable objects
THE PRIMARY OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER THE APPRECIATION OF DRAMA AND THE ARTS AMONG RESIDENTS WITHIN AND AROUND THE NORTH SUSSEX AREA. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT, THE SOCIETY WILL: 1) PRESENT OR FACILITATE; PUBLIC DRAMATIC PERFORMANCES, AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL CONCERTS, RECITALS, ART EXHIBITIONS, LECTURES, FESTIVALS AND ANY OTHER APPROPRIATE EVENT; 2) PROVIDE SUITABLE PERMANENT PREMISES FOR STAGING ANY SUCH EVENT LISTED IN CLAUSE 3(1); 3) PROMOTE A LIVELY, FRIENDLY AND SOCIABLE ENVIRONMENT WHERE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS CAN MEET; 4) WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT;
