Charitable objects
(1) THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE; TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF WIGTON HOSPITAL AND SOLWAY COMMUNITY AND PATIENTS IN RECEIPT OF HOSPITAL COMMUNITY SERVICES WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND, GENERALLY, TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE SAID HOSPITAL, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- (A) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN THE NEEDS OF THE PATIENTS OF THE WIGTON HOSPITAL AND SOLWAY COMMUNITY MOBILISE, ENCOURAGING, FOSTERING AND MAINTAINING THE INTEREST AND SUPPORT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SAID HOSPITAL; (C) PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF, AMENITIES IN THE WIGTON HOSPITAL AND SOLWAY COMMUNITY FOR PATIENT AND STAFF; (D) GIVING AND EXCHANGING INFORMATION AND ADVICE AND TO PROMOTING EDUCATION IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE HOSPITAL AND HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT, TO PROMOTE RESEARCH AND DISSEMINATE THE RESULTS. (G) RECRUITING AND ASSISTING IN THE RECRUITMENT OF, VOLUNTARY WORKERS IN AND FOR THE WIGTON HOSPITAL AND SOLWAY COMMUNITY ; AND (H) TO SUPPLEMENT THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY THE WIGTON HOSPITAL AND SOLWAY COMMUNITY FOR THE HEALTH, WELFARE AND COMFORT OF PATIENTS, BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE TREATMENT OF SUCH PATIENTS, OR, FOR THE EFFICIENT RUNNING OF THE HOSPITAL.
