Charitable objects
THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT WITH THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS IN THE AREA COMPRISING THE CITY OF SHEFFIELD AND ENVIRONS, TO INCLUDE THOSE FORTY NINE 10 KILOMETRE SQUARES WITH THEIR ORIGIN AT SK05 AND CENTRED ON SK38 WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS “THE AREA OF BENEFIT”. THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE TO INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF NATURAL HISTORY OF MEMBERS OF THE CHARITY AND THE PUBLIC BY PROMOTING STUDY AND RESEARCH AND IN PARTICULAR: A) TO ARRANGE MEETINGS, LECTURES, EXHIBITIONS, FIELD EXCURSIONS AND SIMILAR GATHERINGS FOR THE ABOVE PURPOSE B) TO ARRANGE FOR THE COLLECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF SCIENTIFIC RECORDS RELATED TO THE NATURAL HISTORY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT C) TO PUBLISH PROCEEDINGS AND REPORTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEMBERS OF THE CHARITY AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN LIAISON AND EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION WITH ORGANISATIONS HAVING OBJECTS IN COMMON WITH THE CHARITY D) TO UNDERTAKE ALL SUCH THINGS AS ARE NECESSARY TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS OR ANY OF THEM.
