Stoke Amateur Theatre Society (SATS) is certainly not just any amateur theatre company. It's a diverse family of friends who truly care for each other and want to see everyone succeed. Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers we put on spectacular pantomimes, shows, and plays, with an ethos of making the performing arts accessible to all.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE S.A.T.S CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO: 1. ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE APPRECIATION OF MUSIC, DANCE, ACTING AND THEATRE 2. ADVANCE THE ARTS OF MUSIC AND THEATRE IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, BY (A)SUPPORTING THE LIVE PERFORMANCE OF VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC AND ITS SUBSEQUENT DISSEMINATION VIA A RANGE OF MEDIA; (B)SUPPORTING THE STUDY AND PERFORMANCE OF MUSICAL THEATRE WORKS; (C)SUPPORTING THE STUDY AND PERFORMANCE OF PANTOMIMES; (D)ATTRACTING NEW PARTICIPANTS AND FRESH AUDIENCES FOR THE STAGING AND PERFORMANCE OF MUSIC AND THEATRE. 3. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEX, RACE, DISABILITY, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF, CREED, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT; RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN; POOR HOUSING (THAT IS HOUSING THAT DOES NOT MEET BASIC HABITABLE STANDARDS; CRIME (VICTIM OF CRIME).
