Richter Ensemble aims to advance the education of the public in the art and science of music and the study, promotion, encouragement and appreciation of music from the baroque through the twentieth century played on period instruments. One particular area of interest, for example, is exploring the music of the Second Viennese School.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC AND THE STUDY, PROMOTION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC FROM THE BAROQUE THROUGH THE TWENTIETH CENTURY PLAYED ON PERIOD INSTRUMENTS, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1) PRESENTING CONCERTS AND RECITALS IN THE UK AND ABROAD; (2) PUBLISHING RECORDINGS; (3) GIVING MASTERCLASSES, LECTURES AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL COURSES; (4) BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
