TO ADVANCE CHARITABLE PURPOSES ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME AND PARTICULARLY BUT NOT LIMITED TO TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF DISADVANTAGED PUPILS AT ASHCOMBE SCHOOL WHO ASPIRE TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION BY PREVENTING DISADVANTAGED YOUNG PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THESE PEOPLE AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE SOCIETY AND RAISE ASPIRATIONS. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE 'SOCIALLY EXCLUDED' MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY AS A RESULT OF BEING A MEMBER OF A SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED COMMUNITY, IN PARTICULAR THOSE FACING HOMELESSNESS TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY BY ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO EXISTING SERVICES OR FACILITIES AND TO NEW INITIATIVES
