WHEREAS THE TRUSTEES WISH TO ESTABLISH A CHARITABLE COMPANY TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF JEREMY RAVENDRAN BY MAKING GRANTS AND DONATIONS TO CHARITABLE CAUSES WHICH WILL BE A FITTING LEGACY TO HIS KINDNESS, GENEROSITY AND LOVE OF PEACE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS OBJECTS AS SET OUT BELOW. (1) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, NEED OR DISTRESS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND ABROAD BY PROVIDING GRANTS OR LOANS TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT AND RELIEVE POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO ASSIST THOSE IN NEED IN SETTING UP THEIR OWN BUSINESSES. (2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND ABROAD BY MAKING GRANTS TO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OR THE PROVISION OF STUDY MATERIALS TO SCHOOLS AND/OR PUPILS.
