Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OVERSEAS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES TO PEOPLE WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO GROW TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL; (2) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS CAPABLE OF IMPROVING HEALTH, BY (A) PROVIDING FACILITIES (B) CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE EDUCATION OF PLAYERS, ATHLETES, COACHES AND SPORTS OFFICIALS AND (C) CREATING A SAFE COMMUNITY HUB WHICH IS AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL REGARDLESS OF SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES; (3) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY, BY (I) CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN SPORT BY ATHLETES, COACHES AND SPORTS OFFICIALS WHO HAVE BEEN UNDER-REPRESENTED IN TERMS OF GENDER AND/OR ETHNICITY; AND (II) DELIVERING EDUCATION PROGRAMMES TO ADDRESS GENDER INEQUALITY; (4) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY, BY CREATING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO FIND ROLES WORKING OR VOLUNTEERING WITHIN SPORT; AND (5) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE. IN EACH CASE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE.
