Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE IN AFRICA, AND IN PARTICULAR THOSE IN ETHIOPIA, WHO HAVE UNDERGONE AN AMPUTATION OF A LIMB AS A RESULT OF ACCIDENT, INJURY, ILLNESS OR DISEASE OR SUFFER FROM A CONGENITAL LIMB DEFICIENCY, THROUGH THE PROVISION AND FITTING OF ARTIFICIAL LIMBS, TOGETHER WITH APPROPRIATE PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES, TO ENABLE THEM TO OVERCOME BARRIERS IN ACCESSING EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT, LIVE INDEPENDENTLY, BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT, AND PARTICIPATE FULLY IN SOCIETY.
