To promote the art and training of classical music for the public benefit, in particular (but not exclusively) supporting children and families from black and ethnic minorities. To help support families in severe hardship who will benefit from participating in creative musical activities for social interaction and learn how to play musical instruments to improve mental health and wellbeing.

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART OF CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGH THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL MUSIC TUITION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES LIVING IN HACKNEY AND THE SURROUNDING BOROUGHS. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008
