Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE RESIDING IN HAMPSHIRE INCLUDING SOUTHAMPTON AND PORTSMOUTH, WHOSE LIVES ARE AFFECTED BY LOOKING AFTER, SUPPORTING OR LIVING WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS A DISABILITY – PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENT, LEARNING DIFFICULTY, AUTISM, SENSORY, MENTAL HEALTH; IS AN OLDER PERSON; IS MISUSING DRUGS OR ALCOHOL; OR WHO HAS A LONG-TERM ILLNESS (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL) BY: - WORKING IN COPRODUCTION WITH CARERS, REPRESENTATIVES OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT - IDENTIFYING NEEDS - PROVIDING SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO RELIEVE THOSE NEEDS; AND - GATHERING AND DISSEMINATING INFORMATION, ADVICE, ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT. - WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS TO FILL ANY IDENTIFIED GAPS IN PROVISION, WHICH COULD BENEFIT CARERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. - ENABLING MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO VOLUNTEER, AND OR RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CHARITY, TO USE TO ACHIEVE ITS OBJECTIVES
