THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SOUTHEND-ON-SEA AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR PLAYING RUGBY UNION FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS AND GAMES WHICH PROMOTE HEALTH BY INVOLVING PHYSICAL OR MENTAL SKILL OR EXERTION. ("FACILITIES" MEANS LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES).
