Activities - how the charity spends its money
The main activities of the CIO are the provision of courses and projects utilising historical and heritage related themes for people living with mental health issues, dementia, or experiencing isolation or loneliness. The CIO also provides activities for young people to learn from their peers, and also to provide training for carers on reminiscence therapy techniques.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PERSONS LOCATED IN THE UK, BUT PRIMARILY IN HAMPSHIRE, DORSET AND WILTSHIRE, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND ASSIST IN THE RELIEF AND IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTH OF THOSE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, DEMENTIA, OR EXPERIENCING ISOLATION OR LONELINESS, BY HELPING TO PROVIDE REMINISCENCE THERAPY AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THEIR CONDITION OF LIFE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION, BY: A) THE PROVISION OF COURSES, ACTIVITIES, AND PROJECTS UTILISING HISTORICAL AND HERITAGE RELATED THEMES FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, DEMENTIA, OR EXPERIENCING ISOLATION OR LONELINESS. B) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BY HELPING THEM TO LEARN FROM OLDER PEOPLE AND DEVELOP NEW SKILLS.
