Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND RESOURCES FOR EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF: 1.1 SCHOOL BUILDINGS AND LIBRARIES OR REFURBISHMENT OF EXISTING FACILITIES; 1.2 SCHOOL OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING FEES TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD THEM; 1.3 EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS AND COURSE RESOURCES AND SUPPORT; 1.4 BASIC SUPPLIES, SUCH AS SCHOOL UNIFORM, BOOKS AND OTHER PERSONAL OR EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES TO HELP FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SCHOOLS THAT ARE UNABLE TO AFFORD THEM. 2. TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROTECT AND PRESERVE HEALTH THROUGH THE PROVISION OF HEALTHCARE PROJECTS SUCH AS MEDICAL CAMPS AND MOBILE CLINICS, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT DESIGNED TO PREVENT COMMON HEALTH ISSUES AND THE PROVISION OF OTHER FACILITIES AND SUPPORT SERVICES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE FROM TIME TO TIME. 3. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, MAINLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY BUILDING AND MAINTAINING MOSQUES AND OTHER FACILITIES USED TO ADVANCE THE FAITH OR BY REFURBISHING EXISTING FACILITIES. 4. TO PREVENT CRUELTY TO ANIMALS BY THE PROMOTION OF HUMANE FARMING, TRANSPORTATION, MARKETING AND SLAUGHTER OF FARM ANIMALS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY PROMOTING TO FARMERS, LIVESTOCK PRODUCERS, HAULIERS, ABATTOIRS AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES: 4.1 RECOGNISED ADVICE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING; 4.2 IMPROVED METHODS AND PRACTICES AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH IN THIS FIELD.
