Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM, OR ARE AT RISK OF SUFFERING FROM AORTIC DISSECTION OR ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS BY: A. PROVIDING THE VOICE FOR PATIENTS, SURVIVORS, THEIR FAMILIES (INCLUDING BEREAVED FAMILIES) AND THOSE AT RISK OF AORTIC DISSECTION WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND. B. CAMPAIGNING AND RAISING AWARENESS OF AORTIC DISSECTION, ITS DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT AND WORK WITH THE MEDICAL PROFESSION TO IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES. C. PROVIDING SUPPORT TO PATIENTS, SURVIVORS, THEIR FAMILIES (INCLUDING BEREAVED FAMILIES) AND THOSE AT RISK OF AORTIC DISSECTION. D. ENCOURAGING AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH INTO AORTIC DISSECTION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CAUSES, TREATMENT, AND THE DISSEMINATION OF RESULTS. E. PROVIDING PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO AND COLLABORATE WITH CHARITABLE AND NON-CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS SUPPORTING PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES (INCLUDING BEREAVED FAMILIES) AND THOSE AT RISK OF AORTIC DISSECTION, AND THE MEDICAL AND RESEARCH PROFESSIONS, PERTAINING TO THE OBJECTS LISTED ABOVE, IN OTHER COUNTRIES. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE, AORTIC DISSECTION AND ASSOCIATED CONDITIONS ARE PRIMARILY (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THOSE SET OUT IN SECTIONS BD50, BD51 AND LD28 OF THE INTERNATIONAL STATISTICAL CLASSIFICATION OF DISEASES AND RELATED HEALTH PROBLEMS, ICD-11 FOR MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY STATISTICS (ICD-11 MMS), VERSION 05/2021, WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION.
