Sound Waves Foundation was born out of the need and want to celebrate deafness. Our mission is to improve accessibility and inclusivity for deaf children and young adults in the UK. Through innovation, creativity and technology we aim to empower deaf children to reach their true potential, while promoting deaf awareness to progress equality in society

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF DEAF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, INCLUDING (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY: (1)RAISING PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF DEAFNESS; (2)PROMOTING, FACILITATING AND DISSEMINATING RESEARCH THAT ADDS TO COLLECTIVE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF DEAFNESS TO IMPROVE ACCESS FOR REASONS OF EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION; (3)PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO DEAF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO GAIN INTERNSHIPS OR WORK EXPERIENCE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT; AND (4)PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF OPPORTUNITIES AND ACTIVITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR DEAF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
