Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 20 LIVING IN DORSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING IN THE TOPICS OF MENTAL HEALTH, RELATIONSHIPS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND PERSONAL SAFETY, AS A MEANS OF: A. ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; B. ADVANCING EDUCATION; 2. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF WOMEN WHO CRIMINALLY OFFEND AS A RESULT OF DRUG USE OR DOMESTIC ABUSE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF RELEVANT ADVICE, SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND WORKSHOPS. 3. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF WOMEN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED CHILDHOOD ACES AND WOULD BENEFIT FROM A TRAUMA-THEMED APPROACH BUT WHO HAVE NOT NECESSARILY OFFENDED THEMSELVES. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PARENTS WHO ARE ABUSED BY THEIR CHILDREN EITHER EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY OR FINANCIALLY - BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY - BY THE PROVISION OF RELEVANT ADVICE, SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND WORKSHOPS.
