(A) TO PROMOTE IINTEREST IN THE CULTIVATION OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM IN SOUTHPORT AND DISTRICT BY THE HOLDING OF MEETINGS, LECTURES, DISCUSSIONS AND BY OTHER MEANS WHICH MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE CONSIDERED DESIRABLE. (B) TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF CULTIVATION OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM BY THE PROMOTION OF AND PARTICIPATION IN SHOWS AND EXHIBITIONS OF THE FLOWER. (C) TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE IMPROVEMENTS OF THE FLOWER AND ITS CULTIVATIONA BY CORRESPONDENCE WITH OTHER SOCIETIES AND ORGANISATIONS, AND BY REFERENCE TO TECHNICAL AND OTHER PUBLICATIONS.
