THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY— (A) THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE OR ETHNICITY; (B) RAISING AWARENESS OF AND PROMOTING EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY IN THE WORKPLACE BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE DELIVERY OF WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS AND EMPLOYMENT EVENTS; (C) PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS; (D) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY.
