THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE RELIEF OF MENTAL ILL-HEALTH AND THE PRESERVATION OF GOOD MENTAL HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT WITHIN THE AREA OF EAST ANGLIA THROUGH TRAINING, CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF PSYCHOANALYTIC AND PSYCHODYNAMIC PSYCHOTHERAPISTS, COUNSELLORS, AND ALLIED PROFESSIONALS, TO BETTER QUALIFY THE SAME IN THE PROVISION OF TREATMENT FOR THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS, TRAUMA, AND DISTRESS.
