Activities - how the charity spends its money

SYRLJ supports asylum seekers to mount fresh claims or appeals, mainly by research which produces relevant objective evidence about and from their country of origin. Research is by trained staff, working alongside the asylum seeker. Those who use our services are usually at the end of the legal process, and are destitute. We work with solicitors where possible. Our work is free of charge.

Relieving need among the victims of human rights abuses b. Educating the public about human rights abuse c. Eliminating infringements of human rights 2. The relief of financial hardship amongst asylum seekers, refugees, migrants at risk of human rights abuses, and their dependents in the South Yorkshire area by the provision of free legal advice and assistance. 3. The advancement of education of the public about asylum law and practice.
