THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND CHILDREN INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • REFUGEES; • THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM; AND • THOSE WHO HAVE BECOME DISPLACED; (“THE BENEFICIARIES”) BY, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (1) PROVIDING SANCTUARY, HOSPITALITY, SAFEGUARDING AND RELIEF, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY WORKING WITH AND PROVIDING SUPPORT TO, FAITH GROUPS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, INDIVIDUALS, CHARITIES AND BY WORKING WITH BUSINESSES, PUBLIC SECTOR AGENCIES, GOVERNMENT AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS SO THAT THE NEEDS OF THE BENEFICIARIES ARE MORE EFFECTIVELY MET; (2) INFORMING, EDUCATING AND ADVOCATING FOR SANCTUARY, HOSPITALITY, SAFEGUARDING AND THE RELIEF OF THE BENEFICIARIES; AND (3) PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING POSITIVE INCLUSION AND INTEGRATION OF THE BENEFICIARIES BY PROVIDING: (A) ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO HELP BENEFICIARIES ADAPT AND SETTLE IN THEIR NEW FAMILY SETTINGS AND COMMUNITIES; AND (B) ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES TO FOSTER GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF AND ENGAGEMENT WITH THE BENEFICIARIES.
