THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OF THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IN PARTICULAR WITHIN PETERBOROUGH AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND SUPPORT. 2) TO RELIEVE POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS, MIGRANT WORKERS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS LIVING IN AND AROUND PETERBOROUGH BY PROVIDING INTERPRETING, TRANSLATING, ADVOCACY AND HOUSING ADVICE. 3) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING OR WORKING IN AND AROUND PETERBOROUGH BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH GOODS AND/OR SERVICES WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS.
