FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE COUNTY OF NORTHUMBERLAND AND THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICTS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF TYNE AND WEAR OTHER THAN THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT OF SUNDERLAND, TO RELIEVE DISTRESS CAUSED BY THE BREAKDOWN OF FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS AND TO PROTECT THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH OFTHE PARTIES CONCERNED, AND IN PARTICULAR TO OFFER CONCILIATIONTO THEM AND ANY CHILDREN INVOLVED.
