1. TO ADVANCE THE HEALTH AND REHABILITATION OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN IN THE UK WHO HAVE APPLIED FOR ASYLUM AND EXPERIENCE IMPAIRED PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ILL-HEALTH OR DISABILITY AS A RESULT OF TORTURE OR OTHER CRUEL, INHUMANE OR DEGRADING TREATMENT OR PUNISHMENT. 2. TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: • MONITORING ABUSES OF HUMAN RIGHTS; • RELIEVING NEED AMONG THE VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE; • CONTRIBUTING TO THE SOUND ADMINISTRATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS LAW; • RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES;
