Hanslope Community Orchard grows heritage fruit trees for the community to enjoy behind the village hall. We are a group of like minded residents of Hanslope village, looking to reclaim and re-introduce heritage fruit trees in a non-cultivated corner of a local farmer's field. Our long-term aim is for the orchard to be a recreational, inclusive space for all village residents; harvesting fruits,

1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE CONSERVATION, PRESERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A COMMUNITY ORCHARD IN HANSLOPE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHICH SUPPORTS A DIVERSE ECOSYSTEM AND IS SPECIES-RICH. 2) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF HANSLOPE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
