Activities - how the charity spends its money
The team provides personnel to support the Police as required to search for and rescue members of the public who are missing and/or injured in rural and semi-rural areas in the South West of England. The team can mount an immediate and totally self-sufficient search & rescue operation at any time of day or night with trained search managers, medics and search & rescue personnel and equipment.

FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE SUFFERING AND DISTRESS AMONGST PERSONS ENDANGERED BY ACCIDENTS, ILLNESS OR NATURAL HAZARDS PRIMARILY WITHIN MOORLAND AREAS, TO ENCOURAGE MOORLAND SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND AWARENESS THROUGH ALL SECTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY AND TO PROVIDE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SECURE AND EFFICIENT SEARCH AND RESCUE OF ANY PERSONS WITHIN THE MOUNTAIN RESCUE ENGLAND AND WALES AREA OF OPERATION.
