THE PROMOTION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE VOLUNTARY MIGRANT SUPPORT SECTOR IN BIRMINGHAM AND THE BLACK COUNTRY BY: 1. SUPPORTING COORDINATION, COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN ORGANISATIONS WORKING WITH MIGRANTS WITHIN THE WEST MIDLANDS REGION AND ELSEWHERE IN THE UK; 2. SYSTEMATICALLY COLLATING EVIDENCE OF NEED AND BEST PRACTICE IN THE WEST MIDLANDS REGION AND ELSEWHERE IN THE UK TO IMPROVE SERVICES TO, AND THE INTEGRATION OF, MIGRANTS; 3. FACILITATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COLLECTIVE VOICE TO RAISE AWARENESS AMONG POLICYMAKERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS. ‘THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR’ MEANS CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS. • CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. • VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION.
