Charitable objects
1. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONGST THOSE FROM AN AFRICAN BACKGROUND INCLUDING AFRICAN REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS RESIDING IN SALFORD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH: A) EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, INCLUDING SUPPORT WITH TRANSLATION; B) PROVIDING WORKSHOPS/COURSES AND TRAINING; C) HOMEWORK SUPPORT CLASSES AND GENERAL SUPPORT/INFORMATION; D) SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY DIRECTED TO PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION. 2. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONGST THOSE FROM AN AFRICAN BACKGROUND INCLUDING AFRICAN REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS RESIDING IN SALFORD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THROUGH PROVIDING ESSENTIAL ITEMS AND WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CHARITIES AND ORGANISATION’S WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.
