Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Barby Woodland Trust its a charity brought into being to plant and maintain a 27 acre woodland site that was previously pasture land. Barby is a village in west Northamptonshire, close to the Warwickshire border. Once planted the site will encourage bio-diversity and will also be accessible for walking and exercising. The project includes a volunteer programme and work with our local schools.

TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF A 23-ACRE WOODLAND SITE ADJACENT TO BARBY VILLAGE BY: • ENGAGING WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS; LOCAL AND NATIONAL BODIES; AND LOCAL BUSINESSES IN ORDER TO PLANT AND MAINTAIN AN AREA THAT WILL INCLUDE WOODLAND, WILDFLOWER MEADOWS AND WETLAND AREAS. • PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES, THROUGH VOLUNTEERING, FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO LEARN ABOUT THE ECOLOGY OF NATURAL AREAS AND TO DEVELOP SKILLS IN PLANTING AND MAINTAINING THESE AREAS. • PROVIDING A SPACE FOR PEOPLE TO EXERCISE AND ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THE WOODLAND SITE.
