FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, DRUG OR ALCOHOL DEPENDENCIES, ILL-HEALTH, VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE OR THOSE SUFFERING OTHER DISADVANTAGES, INCLUDING THOSE UNABLE TO ACCESS SOCIAL HOUSING PROGRAMMES THROUGHOUT THE UK IN PARTICULAR BY OFFERING HOUSING RELIEF IN THE FORM OF ACCOMMODATION TO THOSE IN NEED. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
