Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE EDUCATION IN THE ARTS OF PEOPLE STUDYING AT UNIVERSITY OR HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE U.K AND THE REST OF THE WORLD IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY: • AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION. • PROVIDING THEIR EDUCATION (SPECIFICALLY STUDY OF THE ARTS), TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT EDUCATION OR TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO ANY OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION ON LEAVING ANY EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT. TO ASSIST IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF YOUNG PERSONS SUFFERING FROM CANCER, RELATED CONDITIONS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR THOSE IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF SUCH ILLNESS, BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COVER THE COST OF TREATMENTS WHERE THEY ARE FACING BARRIERS IN ACCESSING THEM. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
