THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE SUBJECT OF AFRICAN HERITAGE AND CULTURE AND BLACK BRITISH HISTORY, INCLUDING BY: • THE PROVISION OF LEARNING RESOURCES TO PEOPLE AND ORGANISATIONS, INCLUDING SCHOOLS • HOSTING EXHIBITIONS AND CONTRIBUTING TO CULTURAL EVENTS FOCUSING ON THE SAME • ACTING AS ADVISERS AND CONSULTANTS ON THE SAME AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS • THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO POST GRADUATE STUDENTS WHOSE STUDIES WILL FOCUS ON AFRICAN HERITAGE AND/OR AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN OR BLACK BRITISH HISTORY.
