THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IN SALISBURY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING A RANGE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, INCLUDING RECYCLING, CLIMATE CHANGE, POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LIFESTYLES AND BY ACTING AS AN UMBRELLA BODY FOR A RANGE OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FOCUSSED LOCAL ORGANISATIONS. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL TOPICS AND ISSUES, INCLUDING BIODIVERSITY, HABITATS, ANIMAL SPECIES, CLIMATE CHANGE, RECYCLING, POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LIFESTYLES.
