Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF BSL CELEBRATION IS THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONG DEAF PEOPLE AND BSL SIGNERS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF BEING DEAF OR A BSL SIGNER BY: 1. PROVIDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEAF PEOPLE, BSL SIGNERS AND HEARING NON-SIGNERS; AND 2. RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING DEAF PEOPLE AND BSL SIGNERS, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION.
