The Nimrud Archaeological Trust exists in order to support fieldwork at the site of Nimrud, capital of the Assyrian Empire from the early ninth to the late eighth century BC, including clearance and rebuilding, scientific excavations, geophysical survey, contributing to the design of an on-site Museum, producing educational materials, training, and working with local communities.
