The charity focuses on the provision of a competitive swimming environment which is open to all equally, irrespective of difference. We offer Learn To Swim sessions through to national competitive level for all ages. We are committed to ensuring this life saving provision is delivered in a professional, safe environment and complies fully with the requirements of Swim England

Charitable objects
3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF GATESHEAD AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS BY THE PROVISION OF TEACHING / DEVELOPMENT / COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES SWIMMING AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES. 3.2 IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS: (A) THE CIO IS COMMITTED TO TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF ITS ACTIVITY AND WITH DUE RESPECT TO THE DIFFERENCES OF INDIVIDUALS. THIS SHALL BE, FOR EXAMPLE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, SEX, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, DISABILITY OR POLITICAL PERSUASION, ON ANY GROUNDS. (B) THE CIO SHALL NOT APPLY NOR ENDORSE UNLAWFUL OR UNJUSTIFIED DISCRIMINATION AND SHALL ACT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROTECTIONS AFFORDED BY THE EQUALITY ACT 2010 (AS MAY BE AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME). (C) THE CIO SHALL IMPLEMENT THE SWIM ENGLAND EQUALITY POLICY (AS MAY BE AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME). (D) THE CIO WILL COMPLY WITH THE DATA PROTECTION ACT 2018 (AS MAY BE AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME).
