Activities - how the charity spends its money

Dereham Aid Centre opens twice weekly and supports anyone in need, we cover all demographics. Food and drink is served in the centre, we have a food bank, ESOL lessons, clothing, toys, bedding and furniture - everything is free or for a donation (who are we to judge what someone can afford?) We have a weekly Mens mental health group as well Scrap booking "Making Memories" for older people

I. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE IN NORFOLK FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, (PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY ASYLUM SEEKERS AND REFUGEES) RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE “SOCIALLY EXCLUDED” MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PART OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF BEING A MEMBER OF A SOCIALLY AND / OR ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED COMMUNITY BY; A. EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND IN VOCATIONAL SKILLS; B. SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY; C. PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS, AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND / OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. II.
