THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE WEST MIDLANDS, ARE: 1) TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS NON DOMESTIC ANIMALS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALPACAS, CHICKENS, DUCKS, SHEEP, GEESE AND GOATS, BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR SUCH ANIMALS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE, REHOMING SUCH ANIMALS WHERE POSSIBLE AND PROVIDING EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC IN THE CARE AND WELFARE OF SUCH ANIMALS. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT WITH BOARDING TO OWNERS OF DOMESTIC AND NON DOMESTIC ANIMALS WHO ARE TEMPORARILY UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEIR ANIMALS DUE TO CRISIS OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.
