THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE PROMOTION, DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OF MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION AND THE APPLICATION OF WORTHWHILE EDUCATION, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT, SO AS TO ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING SERVICE AND OUTCOMES FOR PATIENTS, SERVICE USERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
