Charitable objects
1. TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF CHILD PATIENTS IN BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL (AND SUCH OTHER HOSPITALS OR MEDICAL PRACTICES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME) IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY ASSISTING WITH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY STATUTORY AUTHORITIES. 2. TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PARENTS, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF CHILDREN WITH LIFE THREATENING OR LIFE CHANGING CONDITIONS OR SUFFERING FROM GRIEF AND BEREAVEMENT FOLLOWING THE LOSS OF A CHILD, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH: A. ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF ESSENTIAL PRACTICAL ITEMS DURING A HOSPITAL STAY; B. ASSISTING IN THE CREATION OF MEMORIES OF THE CHILD WITH HAND AND FOOT IMPRESSIONS. 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN RELATION TO THE EXPERIENCE OF CHILDREN WITH LIFE THREATENING OR LIFE CHANGING CONDITIONS, END OF LIFE CARE, CHILD BEREAVEMENT AND THE EMOTIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL EFFECTS THEREOF.
