Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF PEOPLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR ANY OTHER PART OF EUROPE WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF, REFUGEES FROM OR WHO ARE DISPLACED OR OTHERWISE AFFECTED BY WAR OR NATURAL DISASTER, CONFLICT, TROUBLE, CATASTROPHE OR PERSECUTION IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A. THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL AID, ESSENTIAL ITEMS AND OTHER HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE TO SUCH PERSONS AND ORGANISATIONS CARING FOR THEM OR OTHERWISE FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘MEDICAL AID’ MEANS GOODS, SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR, OR RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF, MEDICAL TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION OF SUCH PERSONS AND ‘ESSENTIAL ITEMS’ MEANS FOOD, HYGIENE ITEMS, CLOTHING, SHOES, COOKING AND OTHER EQUIPMENT, SHELTER AND OTHER GOODS AND SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF SUCH PERSONS; B. THE PROVISION OF FUNDS TO OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS IN ORDER TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; C. ARRANGING FOR OR OTHERWISE ASSISTING THE ASYLUM AND/OR SETTLEMENT OF SUCH PERSONS INTO THE UNITED KINGDOM AND/OR SUCH OTHER COUNTRIES IN EUROPE AS THE DIRECTORS DETERMINE IN GOOD FAITH TO BE SUITABLE FOR SUCH PURPOSES, AND TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR SUCH PERSONS FOR THE ABOVE PURPOSES; D. TRANSPORTING OR ORGANISING THE TRANSPORTATION OF SUCH PERSONS WITHIN EUROPE TO ASSIST WITH OR FACILITATE THEIR RETURN HOME AND ARRANGING FOR OR OTHERWISE ASSISTING WITH THE RE-SETTLEMENT OF SUCH PERSONS UPON THEIR RETURN HOME.
