THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO PROMOTE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT THROUGH BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AND THE RESTORATION, PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF FORESTS AND OTHER ECOSYSTEMS BY: • THE DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION OF A VOLUNTARY CARBON STANDARD ‘SOCIAL CARBON’ FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION OF PROJECTS WHO ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED STANDARD; AND • CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPING SCIENTIFIC METHODOLOGIES TO PROVIDE NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS THAT SUPPORT PROJECTS FOR THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT.
